I have written all the Standard Operating Procedures & Manuel's for Brown Button by Dec. 31st 2014 The Road: 1.) Create a complete list of all the SOP's & Manuel's I will write. 2.) Determine which ones I will need to collaborate with someone else on. 3.) Break out how many I have to write, by the number of weeks I have and set incremental goals 4.) Every 2 months at most check my progress Obstacles: -Busy sale schedule. -Difficulty lining up my availability with other contributors. Why: For us owners to not be The Bottle Neck but the team to be empowered and effective as a whole.

Leonis, this is powerful! And quite a project. Imagine how rewarding it will feel when this is completed!!
I played around with your why statement a little bit. There is a principle about making goal statements positive, removing all the "not" words. Our brains don't process the "not", so we actually end up reinforcing what we intend to negate. (This is from Brian Tracy's material on goals.) So I just changed up your wording a little bit to give you an idea of how you could say the same thing positively.
"As owners we remove obstacles that block our team's full contribution, and we empower our entire team to be effective."

How are you coming on your goal? Have you completed step one? I know this month has been even more complicated and stressful than usual. And so I especially want to encourage you not to loose site of your why. You are empowering others, which will also mean creating more space for yourself....

Thanks for the encouragement. James & I have compiled a list of all the ones we knew about and then opened it up to the team to add any they thought of. Then we prioritized the order. I forgot to divide it up into weeks to get a time table. I should do that this next week. We spent 2 mornings this past month working on one. Jonathan also recommended a book on the topic that we found on Ebay & ordered.
I really liked your rewording of my Why. It does seem more powerful. Thanks.
